Course program (divided into modules):
M1 - Formal Institutional Module (6 CFU)
Transformation, birth of nations, of new systems of government and class in contemporary society
Program
The institutional module will address the study of the main themes of historiography between the 19th and 20th centuries relating to political, economic and social processes and events, with particular attention to the birth and transformation of nations and their search for a new state identity, evolution towards imperialisms and nationalisms, to the affirmation of a different vision of the state, of war and of international relations during the twentieth century, which often changed the face of states and the perception of social classes.

The post-unitary brigandage as a historical phenomenon but also a historiographical debate
Program
The module aims to retrace the salient aspects of the phenomenon of post-unitary brigandage and more generally the problems of the southern question that had so much part in the formation of the nascent Italian state.
