The degree in 'FOREIGN LANGUAGES FOR BUSINESS AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION' (LM 38) is a natural continuation of the CdS L12 (Linguistic Mediation and Intercultural Communication), but also of the CdS L11 (Foreign Languages and Literatures). Graduates of other three-year Courses can also access it, provided that the admission requirements are met. The qualifying educational objective of the Study Programme is the achievement of a high competence (at least Level C1) in two languages (one of which is mandatory European), combined with knowledge of the cultural, historical and social issues of the geographical areas related to the chosen languages. With a marked interdisciplinary cut, the course combines a solid linguistic-humanistic preparation with adequate skills in economic, legal and geographical subjects. The target is to train multifaceted professional figures, able to combine a humanistic approach and technical knowledge, to perform functions of high responsibility in work contexts. Professional opportunities range from specialized translation to and from Italian, conference interpreting in the perspective of international communication and intercultural mediation at various levels: in the field of international relations with Italian and foreign bodies and companies, Italian Chambers of Commerce and foreign equivalent institutions, in the public administration, in the structures of International Cooperation, in local authorities, as well as at institutions and institutes of advanced research on languages and languages, in the field of selection, processing, presentation and management of information.The degree in 'FOREIGN LANGUAGES FOR BUSINESS AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION' intends to offer special space to the deepening of scientific-cultural and professional relations with the Adriatic world between the two shores. For this reason, it will work in this direction to seek appropriate and profitable synergies, as well as forms of meeting and useful comparison with bodies, institutions and associations, in order to perfect the students' training path and to ensure greater attractiveness to the LM38.
