Objectives

The course is intended to provide basic psychological knowledge concerning cognitive functioning and human behavior. The aim is to offer a theoretical framework to improve the ability to understand and interact with people, both patients and their relatives.
The expected learning outcomes are:
- knowledge on cognitive functioning and its limits;
- improved skill to successfully interact with patients.
The achievement of these outcomes will be checked during exams.

The course of General Psychology aims at providing theoretical knowledge and basic methods on cognitive functioning and behavior. It is of great relevance for health care providers who are in regular contact with people.
