The course will cover the main methodological approaches to conducting a research project in the field of Occupational Therapy. In particular, the differences between qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods will be discussed with discussion and evaluation of case studies. How basic and clinical research is conducted from review of the literature, formulation of the experimental question, study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and communication of results will be addressed. Issues concerning ethical aspects in research will also be discussed.
