At the end of this course students are supposed to achieve level C1.1 of CEFR and of metalinguistic competences associated to the C1.1 level
The class consists of two modules:
MODULE 1 (Prof. Piccioni): The theoretical sessions will illustrate the main concepts developed within the fields of text linguistics and pragmatics (text functions, theory of speech acts, politeness theory) with a view to introducing the notions necessary for describing functional variation in texts.
In the practical sessions these theoretical concepts will be exploited in practical activities and exercises aimed at the analysis and composition of texts belonging to a number of (written and oral) genres typical of online communication.
MODULO 2 (Prof. Pomponio): introduction (both theoretical and applied) to the main concepts developed in the teaching of Spanish language, with particular attention to the following topics:
- The protagonists of the teaching / learning process;
- Preparation of the activities: programming, planning and evaluation;
- Development of didactic learning units

LECTOR SESSIONS
Attendance of the lectors’ sessions is highly recommended for reaching the expected CEFR level. Students are also encouraged to sit the C1.1 proficiency tests organized by the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo.

EXAM
Final assessment consists of a written exam/assignment and an oral exam. Written exam/assignment and an oral exam can be sat in different sessions (summer, fall, winter). Students access the oral exam only after passing the written exam. Both parts will need to be passed before the winter session (January/February 2024) in order to officially register the final result. The written exam is valid until the winter session (January/February 2024).
WRITTEN EXAM
- OPTION 1 (for students who attend the classes, participate in the practical sessions of Module 2 and develop a personal portfolio of activities): analysis, composition and translation of texts typical of online communication for Module 1 (Piccioni) and submission and class presentation of the personal portfolio developed during Module 2
- OPTION 2 (for students who do not attend the classes): analysis, composition and translation of texts typical of online communication for Module 1 (Piccioni) and open questions on Module 2 bibliography
ORAL EXAM
- OPTION 1 (for students who attend the classes, participate in the practical sessions of Module 2 and develop a personal portfolio of activities): questions on 2 of the novels in the reading list
- OPTION 2 (for students who do not attend the classes): questions on 3 of the novels in the reading list
