LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The course aims to provide advanced knowledge of Russian poetry of the first half of 20th century by structural analysis of literary texts in the contest of the poetics of “silver age”. At the same time students will be introduced to the importance of the myth of Italy for Russian culture.
The aims of the course include:
- building on learners's advanced knowledge and understanding of the culture and literature of Russia.
- enhancing learners' understanding of Russian 20th-century poems.
- developing an intercultural perspective of studying cultural phenomena.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Knowledge:
− The student has a good knowledge of the history of the Russian literature of the first half of 20th Century.
− The student presents poems of the period, and puts them into a larger historical, cultural and literary context.
- The student has a good knowledge of the personal vision of Italy by each of the Russian poets of the period.
Skills:
− The student uses advanced literature terminology in Russian.
− The student possesses abilities in the analysis and interpretation of the literary works.
