The course focuses on the introduction to the main notions of Egyptian dialect, with the study of the main differences with Modern Standard Arabic: phonetic characteristics; syntax of the sentence and main grammatical rules. During the course non-literary texts in Egyptian dialect with gradual and progressive difficulty will be analyzed, in addition to interviews, dialogues and songs in dialect. Then the course introduces the study of literary works written in dialect.
