- Mid-term test: Translation into Italian of a Chinese text concerning one of the specialized fields analyzed during the course.
- Final test. The written test, of the duration of two hours, consists in translating into Italian a Chinese text concerning one of the specialized fields studied during classes (use of both printed and electronic dictionaries is permitted). The oral part includes lexical and morpho-syntactic analysis of texts studied during the course. In order to be admitted to the oral examination, students must have passed the written one. For the purposes of the final result (i.e. grade) of the exam, the written and oral parts are of equal importance. The final result, which is determined the end of the oral exam, is expressed with a 30-point scale ranging from a passing grade of 18 to a maximum of 30 cum laude.
