To contribute to a general view for the students concerning the ancient mediterranean context, specifically looking at the interactions among cultures and peoples in the pre-classical and classical Mediterranean.
General view on the Mediterranean context in the Bronze Age and of the Aegean cultures in relationship with Egyptian, Hittite and Oriental contexts.
Art and Archaeology between 'Dark Age and beginning of Greek Art. Specific aspects of the Greek art through examples and issues. Practical section: catalogue of Greek materials.
Roman Art: Hellenism, ibridation and relationship with the provinces. Specific aspects, topics and sites for analyzing the Roman culture. Practical section: catalogue of a specific archaeological roman find and organization of a review.
